Hi

New in the mopar game. Thinking of getting a 66 Charger, but the one Im currently looking at seem to lack side panel peak trim. Are they not available as spare parts? Seems impossible to find...

Appreciate your input here.

66 And 67 Chargers are a very cool car! But they do not have the aftermarket support that 68-70 B bodies have. Most parts are going to be very hard to find. So when you say
side panel peak trim
Are you referring to the trim on the top of the fender, door and quarters? That trim is not available new. Hardly any trim is produced new sadly

Yep, those are the ones I'm referring to. That's to bad. Gonna be a full time job to hunt those down on-line...

Thanks!

Parts searching is half the fun. There is a huge network here on the site for finding those parts. Just place a wanted ad and you may be surprised.

The big problem will be if they shaved off the quarter panel pinch weld.
Then you're screwed.

If you don’t see holes in the door and fender tops, and the pinch weld on the quarter, someone modified it. Repo clips are available. The long fender mouldings are slightly different between 66-67. One can be modified to fit the other year.
