I saw a 69 Coronet done like that in a junkyard. It looked like it came that way from the factory.

Absolutely; the trip was ofttimes a lot more fun than the event and more stories from the journey are remembered today.

This, especially to contrast with the dudes who tow their trailer queens to the shows. The actual drives TO the show were more fun than the actual show. People gawking as they drove by, people giving thumbs-ups and honking horns as they passed the convoy of Mopars, other Mopar enthusiasts shouting out when driving past...you don't get much of that when you're pulling a trailer.
