Yep, heard and used the term myself...lol! I was stationed at Castle '86 - '90. Ended up staying there when I got out. Things have changed there not all for the good. I don't go into Merced unless I need to.

I was at a local car show this summer. Wasn't planning on taking any pictures but thought this was cool. Guy wasn't around so no details. Probably just as well, due to my stroke, I most likely would have forgotten 99% within a few minutes.

What an idiot.
THose were popular in the 70s for leaf spring cars but Mopars did not need them, front OR rear!
What some people do not know is that THESE were a crutch for cars with soft springs. MOST cars had the axle mounted almost exactly in the middle of the spring between the front and rear. Ma Mopar mounted the axle further forward. This resulted in a stiffer forward segment. Traction bars were meant to add stiffness to this area, an area that Mopars didn't need any help.
