I'm thinking McQueen was a balls to the wall type of driver and didn't want to bother with having to finesse it so the Mudstain could have a chance. After all, would you want to have to do that! I sure wouldn't lol

The Lightning Rods were from a Camaro that I had that my wife used to drive, and she didn't like them so I took them out. They were sitting on my workbench when I was building the convertible, and I set them in the car, and I was happy with the results, so I fabricated linkage for them using the stock B body through the floor assembly, and two E body rods one on top and one on the bottom, so I have two adjustable rods to dial them in. They were designed to use a cable, but mine have mechanical linkage.
