I have totally rebuilt my 318 poly in my 64 Polara. When I installed engine the torque converter was not locked in place and I broke the front pump. I now need to remove the trans and send it to a repair shop to be fixed....I am 72 years old and have COPD and now admit I cannot work on this car any more. I want to sell it or trade it for another Mopar I do not have to put any serious money in...I just installed a Borgeson steering system and have all the parts to finish car.......All suspension, brakes (front disc), rearend and motor are all new and motor has not been fired yet.....any interest please PM me......thanks....

Pictures help. 64 is a great year car, let us see what you are trying to move. If you were able to install the engine at 72, don't let a little setback make you quit. Also it's worth more done. With unfinished projects you never win. At our age if you sit down and quit, well you know what's next.

A for sale post might be helpful to . Get some pictures up how much is the car ?

I’m nearby. Probably a 1/2 hour drive. If you want some help just say so. Might even have a front pump.

Have had some great chats on the forum with Nate S, seems like a guy who has a lot of knowledge - great to hear Nate being close by might be able to help out in some way. If this is your dream ride, sounds like you've worked hard on it with heady investment, would be a shame to have to let it go. 64 Polara's have a special place in mopar history. Having spent endless time and cash on my '63 Plymouth, with something more needing work all the friggin time, old rides are seldom going to be free of gremlins unless the car has been gone through A to Z meaning truly A to Z. I encounter some BS relentlessly to work on. I'm not all that much younger than you are and the sore muscles and joints are catching up!
