All 70-72 B or 70-74 E. Cannot tell from the pics if any are 70 B vs 71-72 or E-body. 70's have a slightly different angle on the steering gear mount.

Thanks T2R9, I thought the B Body 1970 was different from all other years? Will get more pics of the steering gear mount.

It is but very hard to tell by pictures. Having the date code stamped on them helps narrow it down. Even a 71-72 will work on a 70 but the steering gear will be off just a little.

Stamped on the front. Also could have a coin or tag welded on it with the last two digits of the part number 90 would be a 70 B-body.

Here is an example. Mine is 2330 which is Aug 21, 1970. 233 day of 70.

I do not see the stamping like on yours T2R9 but a large welded tag, 06 on #1, 12 on #2 and a 6 or 9 on #3

Here they are in same number order, #1, #2 and #3, what do they mean, is there a decoder ring for this?

12 is a E-body. That 06 is more likely a 90 which is a 70 B-body. Can't find any part number ending in 06. Last one could be a 90 but stamped on a Friday after lunch?

That 06 could just as easily be the 90 referenced above.

With some work I cleaned off the code and can read them very well. I put a comma after the four digits just to make a space for the last fifth #.
#1= 1680, 2
#2= 0200, 2
#3= 3089, 1
I need a 1970 (one year only K-frame), so is #1 the winner for my B-Body?

#1 - 168th day of 1970 which would be June 17, 1970 (Wed), made on the second shift. Very late model 1970 B-body.
#2 - 20th day of 1970 which would be January 20, 1970 (Tue), made on the second shift. Mid-year 1970 E-body
#3 - 308th day of 1969 which would be November 4, 1969 (Tue), made on the first shift. Early model 1970 B-body

So one and three are the winners. They don't have the 70 specific sway bar pieces either if you wanted to run one.
