Plug wire date??

Need new plug wires for my 1971 Roadrunner. Build date 925 1970. So I would need plug wires made in last quarter 70 or 4 70 am I right?These are the Mopar restoration wires.

If 925 means Sept 25th that's the 3rd quarter.

Unless the quarter is referenced to the model year...which makes September 25 in the first quarter - as the model year starts on August 1st.

Great observation I can't answer that but would like know.

Date codes are specific to the part and the manufacture. It is not based on the production date of the automobile. In the above case, the car was assembled late in the first quarter of the 71 production models. The parts that are found on this car will most likely have third quarter of 1970 production dates. As stated, the plug wires should have a third quarter of 70 date code.
