Hi All,

Have had a death in the family who was a car collector.

Have a 1964 Plymouth Ramchanger.

Used for drag racing in the late 60's early 70's imported from the US to Aus. attached is a few pic of the car in the garage which it has lived since 1976 could anyone tell me if this is a rare car or not.

Car is from California from the pics just wanted to know if the car in question is rare or not.

Thanks in advance.

You're gonna have to dig it out and get more info off the car. Ramchargers were dodges. The plymouth team was called the golden commandos. I doubt very much it was a golden commamdos car, or even a factory built super stock car. probably just a plymouth turned into a racecar. But who knows. Dig it out and get the vin. See whats under the hood. Whatever it is, it has value. How it made it down under has to be an interesting story as well.

Yes you need to give us the vin & I'll check the book .....we're you at ? I'm in Melb

Cool looking car..make sure to take lots of pics as that is now a barn find car!!!!

Hey is it on a trailer?

I noticed it is also a heater/radio delete car.

Yea, with the radio and heater delete plates, it could just be one of those old aluminum nosed cars, hemi or max wedge. It does have old style slicks which leads me to believe it was raced in the 60's. When did the wrinkle wall slicks come out? 1970 or so?

Interesting find/inheritance

looks like it had some drag racing history for sure
I don't remember the car thou

9.02 @ 159 in 1972 if it's the same car that would have been impressive

should be a fun project & research

what's the plans for it ??
bring her back to life ??
run her at the local tracks ??
or just to sell it as part of the inheritance/estate ??

You may want to try to post the links questions & photos
over at www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com as well

maybe also over in the Racers Hang Out here on FBBO too,
some racers there with similar cars may know the history possibly,
that post mainly in that forum section here...

when you dig it out & get some much better detailed photos etc. & get some of the #'s off it,
what engine ? what trans ? what rear axle ?
than more information can be had possibly

good luck, happy Moparing Down Under

Sorry about your loss. Please keep us up to date when you get her pulled out as I also am very interested in your find. Good luck, Al :hello2:

Looks like its a Savoy. Looking forward to seeing it revealed more.

I see a clutch pedal hanging down so some one put a manual trans. in it at one time!
