Plymouth trunk letters infill?

My 70 RR trunk letters appear to be infilled with a satin silver (maybe argent), was the RR like this and the GTX black infilled??

I've never seen any that were not black.

FWIW the best way to repaint those inset areas is with a syringe.... a 23ga needle works well...
