poly 63

Hi, Old Buddy! I know who you are. And, I am stealing a picture of your old red Plymouth to post here for all to see. Welcome to FBBO. We have lots of fun here! There was a thread on here a few weeks ago about reuniting our cars with the original owners. I related how you found the original for this car, and invited the old guy to the car show. What, about 1987 or 1988, I believe?

Thanks old buddy and yes I thank it was 1988.

If you want to send along a thanks, agree, like...just click on the icons you see in the lower right corner of the post so you don't need to send a written reply. I have a '63 Fury vert from CA with a built poly now I got in '95. These are rock hard motors despite being a BB guy back in the day. 318 was not my thing. But, drove mine for 20 years without an overhaul adding a few performance things as the motor just kept running so solid. The poly is a unique motor...a true semi-hemi. Another topic; but when the '64 GTO (I like 'em and had 'em) became known as theee first muscle car always disagreed. The gist was a huge motor stuffed in a mid-size car. Ok, yeah? When mopar downsized their Dodges and Plymouths in 1962 with the 413 and then the 426 motors...this wasn't counted as a muscle car ahead of the GTO? Sorry, I digress. Welcome!

welcome to FBBO

Wow, a Sport Fury with a three speed! I would think that would be somewhat rare, even for a 63. Very nice.

I can see it. Back in the sixties when I was a teenager, dad aid 4 speeds were for racing but 3 speeds were fine!!!!
I had a bud that bought a brand new 383 70 Runner. His dad would not let him order a 4 speed. Two weeks after it came in,he changed it over and bis dad new knew. He also took off in 2 from his home!! LOL:rofl::lol::lol:

Welcome aboard from Ohio.
