I'm looking for a 4 barrel intake for a poly head 318, in usable condition. PM me with what you got, and a price plus shipping to 37138. thanks

A 4bbl intake for a poly is one of the toughest Mopar engine parts to locate. Early ones, (56-58), used a small base Carter WCFM carb. 59-62, (last year for a poly 4bbl) used a AFB. There were a couple of different aluminum aftermarket 4bbl manifolds but they were discontinued. Any of the above are very rare and if located expect to pay $400.00 plus. Less then that is a bargain. The dual quad manifolds are not as hard to locate and there are even a few aftermarket 3-2bbl manifolds out there.

Good luck with your search.

JUST MISSED THIS ONE.....

That is a little out of my price range. I would consider 3 deuce, or 2 fours. I just need something better than a two barrel. I've been watching ebay for one to come around. thanks

They are around. Just need to keep your eyes open. I think Music City Mopars is having their swap meet soon. In the meantime, what about a 2bbl to 4bbl adapter? My Coronet had one with a 500cfm Edelbrock carb when I purchased the car a few years ago. The 273 actually ran pretty well with it. A lot better than with a stromberg 2bbl. Just voicing another option until you find exactly what you are looking for.

after much searching I found a whole engine with 4 barrel intake in PA for 2 hundred. asked if he would sell just the intake and how much. found a 6 pack intake for 150, and found a set of carbs for it for another 150. and found a dual 4 for 125, and I already have two 650 holleys that will bolt on but I think two fours will be way too much carb for a stock poly 318. what do you guys think?

Go for it....!!!

All sound like a good bargain.... Buy all of them.... but the best one for your application will be the 4 bbl

no offence at all, but set it on your shelf. I did not know how rare these were when I posted the thread. No 4 barrel intake is worth that much, TO ME. I'm just running this engine in my 64 until I can afford to build another big block. I'm building a big block right now for my 68 dart, and I've been collecting parts for 5 years. 400 bucks can buy a lot of big block parts, I'll deal with the two barrel for now I guess, unless I get a great deal on an intake. I'm willing to pay like 200 max for a four or I'll just run the two. Thanks

Why not buy the complete engine for 200? Keep the intake and sell the rest.
