Pot Metal Repair / Replate

I'm Restoring a 64 Polara 500 and need advise (Plating Vendors) regarding Pot Metal Repair and Replating. It sounds like this is becoming a lost art.
My Tail Light base has the typical pock marks. My local plater stripped off the plating to identify the repair areas.

If you would like to save some bucks at the plater then fill all of the marks yourself using Super Alloy 1. All you need is a propane torch a wire brush and some way to sand the filled spot flush with the surrounding surface. Go on line to Muggyweld.com and scroll to Super Alloy 1, watch the videos and get some. Just be sure to do it in a well ventilated place and have a fan blowing the gases away from you while you work. Good luck and yes the stuff works exactly as advertised. I have repaired big voids and missing chunks from my quarter extensions. Good stuff, and your plater will charge you many hours for filling them for you. Oh and yes, it does take plating very well.
