Several years go I converted my 1970 Charger R/T from manual drum brakes (up front) to disc’s using a “The Right Stuff” conversion kit. I have never been able to get the brake pedal at the right hight from the floor. No matter how many adjustment I put in to the brake rod as it connects to the pedal it will not work correctly. Either the pedal is too high or it is on the floor. See the attached pic’s of the power booster for identification.

Has anyone heard of a brake pedal stop? Mine does not have one to the best of my knowledge. If it had a stop I think I could adjust the rod to take out the slack in the linkage which in turn would lower the pedal. You thoughts on this one.

Somebody must have run into this problem. Let me know if you have any ideals. Thank you.

@Kern Dog will chime in with some helpful info on part of your issue that he's gone through on his 70. On the booster itself, many of the one supplied are junk. Either won't work like they should and/or don't hold vacuum. Well documented on the forum.

Sadly that does not surprise me, any recommendation on a good booster set up.

Sorry for your problems. My 69 rt charger had drums on all 4 corners and it stopped with no problems. My 70 Bee has manual brakes with discs up front, once again no problems. What size bore is on your master cylinder? This might be your problem. The 70 charger Im doing now has p drum brakes and the pedal is lower to the floor then manual. I believe this is because of the linkage from the booster inside the car. Manual brakes do not have the same linkage. This is a pic of the PD linkage inside.

Can you post a drawing/diagram of the complete system, with the brake pedal & f'wall showing.

Why? The setup he has there is not stock, looks terrible and clearly isn't giving the man the performance that he needs or wants.
Absolutely remove that stuff and install a factory booster and linkage. It is superior to everything else that I have seen.
Doctor Diff sells what you need at fair prices.
Even though you don't have 4 wheel disc brakes, the following thread may help:

Members with 4 wheel disc systems.....Can you get the tires to skid?

Why? Because exactly like you said IT IS NOT STOCK & DIAGRAM showing EVERYTHING would paint a clearer picture.
