I am attempting to replace the booster on my 69 b-body and am having a hard time getting the push rod that connects the pedal linkage to the booster off. The bolt can not slide out due to metal housing being on both sides. I looked at the service manual and it only says remove the lower pivot bolt ( which I have done) ( the picture shows it in, but I took it off after this picture)
Looks like no way to take the bolt off. Maybe the linkage stays on and it comes out thru the firewall?

Take it off the pedal and remove the lower pivot bolt and it will go through the firewall. You still have the anti rattle spring, be careful not to lose it!

Newbie question, as I also need to remove the booster from my '69 with power drum brakes:

Is the bolt circled in red the lower pivot bolt?

If so, then I need to remove it and the one circled in yellow, and the booster should slide through the firewall, correct? Thank you.

You are correct on both questions/points.
There are 4 booster to firewall mounting fasteners as well.
