My RR has been under a cover for the past 8 years or so and hasn't been on the road. Pulled it out a few weeks ago and got it running. New tires and wheels yesterday and finally drove it about 20 miles today. When i got home, it appears that the seal on the input shaft may be leaking. What is the easiest way to pull the box? Thanks, Steven

Why pull the box? I've changed dozens of those in the car....

Pull the column & work through the firewall.... Use a screw through the face of the seal to pull the seal (see photo) & a length of PVC pipe to drive the new seal in....

BTW Be careful not to damage the shaft when pulling the seal...

My Superbird sat for over a decade and leaked the entire fluid out the input shaft over the Winter I moved it to the shop. Before Talladega I threw a bottle of fluid and seal conditioner in and drove the car around. Drove it all over in Georgia and Alabama as well and another 1500 miles or so this Summer. Hasn't leaked a drop since and suspect the input seal oval'd from the column sitting in one spot for so long. I'd try some leak stop first.. seal change second.

Ok, I'm 5'7" n 210 lbs. I can't even get under the dash to change a fuse. How do you get under there n work "through the firewall"??? Inquiring minds wanna know.

I just changed one in a sb Challenger and was able to do it all in the engine bay. Was able to pull back the coupler box enough to get old seal out and new on. Prolly a no go if a big block.....
