I love my Road Runner but at last I have to add some power steering. I have all the parts, steering shaft, p/s box, pitman arm, pump, brackets, hoses. Can you guys tell me if the Left side Header has to be removed or is there a way to change the box with out all that?

Thanks, in advance.

You may have to jack the motor up, but I can't remember for sure as I had add power steering to my uncle's 70' RR a few years ago.

When I swapped out my factory power steering box for the Borgeson box, I had to jack up the driver side of the motor to get some extra room.

I am in the middle of doing it now and to answer my own question I did have to remove the header bolts and raise it, in addition to raising the whole engine. The strange part was after pulling the top of the steering column apart to remove the steering shaft I couldn't get it to slide up and out the top. Yes I did remove the coupling pin. The shaft did come out the bottom going out at the LF corner of the K frame and just over the top of the sway bar. Going back together now, should be running today
