Hello All:
I just received from Layson Restoration a replacement high pressure power steering hose for my 68 Road Runner. It has a small female to female brass fitting? Been about 30 years since I've replaced a B Body Mopar power steering hose, and I don't recall a brass fitting?
Does this go into the pump housing?
Thanks for any advice. Take care, Bill

Small end goes to the steering box. Pump end is male flare and box end is female flare. I would assume the fitting your referring to goes into the steering box.

Thanks. That looks straightforward. Here is a pic of the fitting:

Think there is two sizes possible on the gear. When I sent my gear to Firm Feel they sent back 2 different fittings for the gear. I chose the one that fit the hose (they also sent that).

Well, I still don't know what this fitting is for as I have the hose replaced and didn't need it. The Layson Restoration hose seems to be good quality, but was not an exact fit to the original. Anyhow leak fixed and on the the rear drums.
