power steering noise

Hello everyone. I have a nagging issue with my steering that I would like to resolve. Whenever I am trying to fit into a tight parking spot and turn the steering to lock on either side I get a loud shrieking sound. Other than that the steering system works great. It seems like this only happens when I turn the wheel all the way while the car is at a standstill. I have inspected the power steering box and not leaks there or in the supply and return lines.

Loose belt, worn glazed belt or pully.

Yep, you power steering belt is slipping which is the squeal you hear

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. I will get a new belt and see if that resolves the issue.

Make sure the belt is tight, after you reinstall it. That might be your only problem, now.
