has any one used the repro dash printed circuit boards from classic? my 65 Plymouth is showing signs of faulty dashboard voltage limiter, pegged gas gauge, ammeter going far towards charge, etc. repro voltage limiter is $69 froms herbs parts. dash circuit board is 89$ with limiter from classic, seems that is the way to go,while it is apart, am I right in assuming it is a strait forward swap-out, has anyone done one?

roseville moparts

roseville moparts sells the limiter for $59, check them out they have a lot of restoration parts for good prices considering they are a Chrysler dealership. This part is the solid state IVR which from what I have read is an upgrade from the limiters from the 60s.

I have to get the board too as mine needs to be replaced along with the limiter. The hardest part is getting the cluster out of the dash, everything else just screws or plugs in.

Hi jz61,

I checked with our Merchandising Department regarding your question and according to them it's exactly how you describe. Once you remove the instrument cluster, switching out the circuit board is a relatively simple process.

We invite you to give us a call if you need further assistance. 855-346-6727

Thanks!

hey classic, is that voltage limiter in your board a solid state unit? is it a plug in, or is it solder in? is the limiter available alone, or only with the board? also I see the '65 Plymouths get 2 boards, a left and a right, witch side has the limiter in it?

Hi jz61,

I received a response back from our Merchandising department. Thank you for your inquiry, we will be updating our descriptions because of your questions.

Here is the explanation: In 1965 Belvederes, the original voltage limiter is plugged into the RH circuit board. A voltage limiter is not included with the reproduction 1965 B-body circuit board, but an electronic limiter is available separately under part# MP2002. The voltage limiter plugs into part# MB192008, no soldering is required for installation.

I hope this information assists you in your decision. Please feel free to call us at 855-346-6727 for more information.

Thank you!

hey classic I see you are currently out of stock on that voltage limiter, any adea on when it will be re-stocked? and also is that a solid state unit? where is that sourced from u.s.a. or china?
