Hi, I have a 74 Charger that is all orriginal. It is a SE with a 400, auto, bucket seats, console, P.S., P.B., P.W., A.C., Cruise, Rear defog, and what I am told is the kicker is that the car has a sunroof. It is tripple black by the way, and when I was at the Carlisle car show a few years back, I was told by someone there that it was one of 16 cars built with the BB and the sunroof. I have been trying to verify that info, and decide what to do with the car. I had a guy stop and ask about the car and I don't know what to ask for it. I have patched all body rot (18g steel), repaired all mechanical issues and was driving it a while ago. The car needs an engine wiring harness to be functional now, but the real question is what are the production numbers for these cars? Does anyone know, or know where I an find out, if the guy at the car show is right or not? What suggestions do you have for pricing? The car needs paint, but all major bodywork is done. Front seats need re-covered and headliner and sunroof need replacement/repair.
Thanks in advance for the help!!
Ed

I have a car with those options (buddy seat instead of console) but it is a 318 car.

There was a tripple black 440 car with those options on ebay a few times over the last 5 years. I believe it finally sold, but for a meager $3500. It had very little rust. Too bad I am too far away, as I'd have loved to own that.

Sorry I can't help with numbers.

im sorry, i cant help but there is a lot of info here that should help you.. sounds like a cool car welcome aboard

welcome to FBBO, unfortunately it doesn't look like a 74 Gen 3 Charger even a 400ci Big Block version, with the rare "sun roof" option, will be worth a whole lot of money currently, unless it was in "perfect condition", especially if it's a 318ci/904tf car, at least the big block cars seem to bring slightly more resale value... The Gen 3's don't seem to bring the same type of money or interest as the 68-70's Gen 2's, as much as I like them, I don't see many other than the 71 Super Bee/Charger R/T or Hemi cars in the Gen 3 body style going for much money any time soon... Unfortunately rare doesn't always mean more value... I have seen the 74 Charger's going for $1500 318ci/904tf project cars - $19k fully restored Broughams SE Big Block triple Black cars... good luck, Happy Moparing
