Not sure of the proper term, but this is on my '67 Charger that I'm converting from power drums to manual discs. Can I use the same dist block/prop valve? Or do I need a new one, like from Inline Tube or fine lines?
Thanks!
Wes

THE DEFINITE CLEAR ANSWER IS NO! Go to Pirate jack on ebay and pick up a 70/30 valve for 50.00

Okay, thanks for the tip.
I appreciate it.

That's a proportioning valve and hold-off valve. That can work to reduce rear brake power and hold off lock up. I have the stock drum distribution block on my '67 Charger with 12" front discs and 11" rear drums- no issues for me. I plumbed a proportioning valve to the rear (like you linked) when I had 11" front and 10" rears. I did need that on that combo- with the bigger front brakes, it's wide open now. Overall, I think the proportioning valve is a fine approach.
