Well that's good to hear. Thought of getting a set of the 14" cribs that split into four 7" cribs but, out of stock of course. Sucks though cuz I'm pulling my trans this week to go through it and these would be nice
Bought summits version of race ramps, both the regular ramps like the pic above, and also a pair of summit detachable ramps to use to extend my trailer ramps (new axles, no drop, the installed ramps now don't reach to ground).
So far, disappointed with the regular ramps, diesel pickup just pushes them along, instead of climbing.
Maybe spending less than 1/2 the price of the race ramps wasn't such a great idea?
Anyway, I have no worries about them being strong enough.
I have used the 12" ones for several years. No complaints. Very expensive. I then built a couple of cribs that work just as well for the price of a few Home Depot studs...
I have the Race Ramps 6"wheel cribs, with additional 6" risers, also the low rise 6" ramps for oil changes on my 12' Challenger since a jack does not fit under it, and also the enclosed trailer door extension ramps for loading and unloading my race car. All have lasted years now, lightweight and nice to use when needed.
I borrowed a set from a friend several years ago, do not remember what the situation was, but the car rolled off when jacking or something. Wooden 2x4 cribs are now my choice. Yes heavier, but I haven't ever had a problem again.
