First chance I've had to fit my re-cored radiator (22", '66 Charger) and the radiator doesn't seem to sit tightly in the side brackets.
Everything is stock but I wonder if there should be some sort of rubber trim which wraps around the sides of header tank, giving a nice tight fit to the moulded shape of the support brackets? I have attached a pic to show where I mean. With nothing there the radiator can move a little.
I don't recall what it was like before - the radiator was leaking from the core so I whipped it out without paying too much attention.
I do not have a fan shroud (car never had one) but the car isn't used in traffic and the temperature for the next few months will not exceed 45-50deg F - it is currently 32.
