Raised White Letters....Inside or Outside

I've never liked whitewalls or white letters out. Always black sidewalls for me, I prefer a smooth, clean look.

Your comment about whitewalls. I know back in the day many of these cars came with whitewalls. Thats a quick "no go " for me. Instant Grandpa vibe .......but wait, I am a Grandpa now. LOL

My GTX came from the factory with Goodyear Speedway white lines. I've leaned strongly toward original day one appearance, but I could never bring myself to put white lines on either of my factory A/C cars, even though they were both ordered that way. Original owners were in their late 40s when the cars were new.

Depends on the car.
White letters out (or painted on) for video purposes at the drags? Absolutely yes.
White letters out, no.
White walls, yes

Isn't it amazin how redlines are loved, and white lines despised?
I like my white walls on my Grandpa cruiser. It's funny. I have owned dozens of these cars over the years since I was a teenager calling them Grandpa cars and now here I am a Grandpa 4X's driving one still...

My 1969 GTX from previous owner put on a set of MasterCraft radial tires and left the white letters facing the underside of the car. I see more and more folks doing this and because it is not a popular brand I am thinking I will leave it as is. Car is T5 exterior. Does anyone have a 69 GTX T5 car with Mastercrafts on it with letters facing out. Would like to see a photo.

I'm sure everyone will have their opinions,

but I did it.

The intersection of fate and destiny! :)

Black wall for me
but that said, I dont run a matched set of 4 tires
I run Mickey Thompson Drag radials in the rear and no name radials on the front
I also run 15" rear and 14" front to accentuate the appearance of the rake
(been doing this since the late 80s)
