Ram is back!

From Tim Kuniskis:

“Our objective is to take the 20 million (avid fans of NASCAR) and turn it into 80 or 100 million,” he said. “We have a plan. We know how we’re going to do it. We think we have a path to get to that. We think people are going to like the way we’re doing it because it’s going to be fun. Not ready to share all the details with you yet, but I told you that the experiential piece was going to be just a little bit of how we’re doing it. It’s going to get crazier from there.”

I guess it’s safe in this era for Detroit to get back into racing. The cars (and trucks) are so far removed from any production vehicle that Washington and the insurance companies don’t have to worry about the manufacturers trying to sell their race cars to the public.

Michigan race yesterday - Prime Video

I didn’t even watch it

They say the track holds 56K attendance - Was their best attendance since 2015 , but NASCAR doesn’t post numbers anymore

The part they don’t talk about , that track at one time held about 156K back in the day

They have done that with so many tracks over the years , cut seats

I am bias , when they came to Road America for a few years , the attendance was just incredible
Best track in the country

Then they stick them on a Chicago street course - Really

Another thing with the Truck Series - All manufacturers use the SAME spec engine

Cut costs for teams

I'll totally believe it when it actually happens
been way too many years, been lied to,
I do trust the new CEO Tim Kuniskis a lot more
than the old Pro-EV Eurotrash one

2027 for Nascar/Cup series, :blah:
why so dang long ? :realcrazy:
I know development,
they had good engines, prior & what the hell happened to that design ?
isn't that big of deal to go to EV, the required sources from NASCAR
or the new carbon-fiber bodies & independent rear suspensions,
I'm sure someone in the know will come aboard, better be soon
better be this year, get out do some testing, to hit the road running with a winner
it won't have a Hemi either

I hope they can win too
That's a good commercial, but I'll bet they struggle bigtime
I wonder what or which teams will come back or get onboard ?
or will it be 100% new ventures ?

Ram in the Truck Series 'will be back 1st', that figures
no Hemi's in them either, just the road vehicles

baby steps, I'm skeptical

I haven't watched it either since it went to Prime. They keep saying the coverage is great but I have not heard any concrete streaming viewership #'s, verses cable / satellite / over air so curious to see what they actually are.

Yes Road America was light years better than Chicago !!!!

Trucks and ARCA share the same spec motors to keep cost down they claim but it stifles engine development between manufactures which I guess is the point of it.
