Here is my charger that I finally got back on the road.
My '69 Charger R/T last summer. Interesting bit, the large white building across the water is the Chrysler Marysville MI parts depot. Formerly the Chrysler Marine & Industrial Plant, where all of the Hemi engines were assembled. My Charger has not strayed far from it's roots.
I've never seen bumper guards like that before. Were they a rare option? I remember seeing the '68 C bodies with guards like that but didn't know they were available for Chargers.
Working on my son's 68 right now.
THose are for people that have a FORD as a second car.
Here is an interior pic of my Charger from Friday night at the strip..
Man I love your interior! Completely stock looking. No BS over sized tach hanging on the steering column, no rows of unnecessary gauges hanging under the dash and no after market stereo. Props to you.
Thank you! that is EXACTLY the look I was after! lots of hidden things in the interior for modern usage but kept the retro look. (8 track modified to accept an amp and ipod jack), small hole in the gauge cluster for a shift light, and cruise control lever re purposed to a line lock button)
Dang...The air looks really clear there.
That green Charger is a real pussy magnet!
Well if that's the case I'll go ahead and paint my '68 green!!!
Not that there's anything wrong with a new Challenger but that photo explains why we still love these more than 50 year old cars.
That is because it is from last year & 400 miles away from here.
