I was surprised how the cheep one held up. I still have the cheep ones that my parents got me for Christmas when i was young, I used them lots when I was a kid. I would never use them now.
I like the ratchet type but I always oversold the weight capacity. 2 ton for setting you car up over the winter but don't work underneath them.. Minimum of 6 ton for working underneath and the 10 and 12 ton are much better and safer for that. The higher tonnage also have a wider base which is more stable.
