So…..my son’s physics class tasked him to make a rat trap racer

…..I may have helped a little

(hehe) adjusting front torsion steering was a nice add on

Any test runs completed. We are adding weight and some trim adhesive to the wheel surface to get grip

Are those wheels CDs?

We used CD's on our boys project and while it didn't win, it went the farthest by a long ways because of the "drive ratio" and almost zero rolling resistance from those CD wheels.

I decided to use 5 CDs on each side, and a shorter throw from the drive axle, now we just need to get the grip just right.

Thanks, "mostly" my sons design.
It didn't win but he got an A for the project.
About 10 years ago...he still has it.
