Can anyone give me any insight on how to replace the shock towers ? Pics, tools. Also can the shock towers be bolted in with grade 8 bolts instead of spot welding.
Finally got the passenger side out. What a PITA !!! After you get them out you see how bad the other suspension parts are. ball joints, bushings, etc. . The local garage mechanic said to use a vise and a pipe wrench on the upper ball joint. Not so sure about that. I got the bushings out: pretty darn easy with a metal cutoff whee. I used a long bolt and a couple of sockets. The rubber on one bushing was completely gone on one side and the inner bushing was not centered like the other one. I see a lot of rotted rubber everywhere.
