Where/how are plug wires routed/secured, on 69 383, when using chrome valve covers? Any pictures out there?

While Ive been looking for chrome valve covers, cant help but notice none that ive seen have enough holes? See attached pic, mine has 2 holes on pass side, 1 on drivers side.....
Is this the norm for 383?

Valve covers are on the wrong sides. THe one with the oil fill cap should be on the driver side. The one with just a small hole and a rubber grommet should be on the passenger side with a pcv valve towards the rear. In the pictures below the valve covers are on wrong too.

Here is where to get the proper brackets https://www.yearone.com/Catalog/chr...spark-plug/spark-plug-wire-brackets-oem-style

Here is how they are ran on the driver side.

I've been looking at and for a spark plug wire management system for my 440 with TTi headers.
I will post a few pics of some other people's setups and some I may find.
I'm still looking, so post pix, manufacturer's name model # etc please guys!

Man..I just run mine like a waterfall down from the distributor on both sides, and come up to the plugs. Keeps the wires as out-of-sight as possible. Plastic snap-on wire looms to keep them organized, the moroso or mr. gasket kind from the parts store...and with most aftermarket covers you have to make your own holes for breathers/PCV/etc.
Used the proper holesaw in a drill press(regular drill will work fine too)

The old Mopar wrinkle-finish jobbers had a blank spot that you could punch out if you wanted to...

I didnt think the covers were reversible?

So aftermarket chrome covers, i will have to drill out an extra hole on 1 of the covers?

That is a either a 454 or a 396 Big Block Chevy.. You will not have those choices with Mopar big block plug wire routing. Since MAPAR decided to have the plugs under the damn exhaust ports you are limited to going under your headers.

Be warned.. Put some sort of heat socks on 6 and 7 plugs or you will be replacing wires left and right. Boots are too close to headers and melt or heat crack.

EDIT: Not exactly under the exhaust ports but in a pain in the *** spot none the less.. Too close to the exhaust port.

I like that one clean and simple!

That all depends on how/if they have holes out of the box. You then drill the holes to suit your needs. Mine are from 440 Source, they had no holes..

Mine have been a mess for 2 years now (I'm embarrassed to say) but at least they aren't touching anything that will damage them, they just look really bad.
