Anyone know how to check the speedometer ? I had it rebuilt, new cable, rebuilt the A833 tranny and it still doesn't read .

Anyone with any ideas ?

are you sure the speedo gear is clocked correctly in the adapter?

does it move when turning by hand ??(spin back of speedometer) If so.....I'd look into the tranny connection or put a drill motor on it at the tranny and spin it to see if it moves the speedometer...that will tell you which way to go

The cable itself is likely not fully engaged in either the speedo pinion or the back of the speedometer.

Recently, my speedo stuck at 75 mph, but the odometer would keep accurate mileage. I removed the instrument cluster, removed and reinstalled the cable, and now it works again like a champ.
