Really Sad news, my beloved Buddy AKA Lord Budnicks is gone

View attachment 214311

I'm so sorry, belated news to me...Sorry man!
I too loved Budnicks!

Just from knowing you on line and hearing you talk about "Budnick's"

Again, so sorry to hear this.
Dogs are family, always have been, always will be!
They are truly "Man's best friend"

So sorry to hear it, Bud. I know from previous posts how much he meant to you.

Just saw this Bud. I know the pain. I still get a tear thinking about the last one we had to put to sleep because of Cancer. My condolences and best wishes.

Losing your best friend just plain sucks....no two ways about it.

It is the toughest thing in the world to see him go......

But you can take solice in the fact that he no longer has to endure any discomfort anymore.

I had to put my best friend of 13 years to sleep a while back, I just plain couldn't justify keeping him alive and in agony with no real hope of getting any better.... I feel your pain.

Thanks again to all those that responded,
Buddy was truly my best friend, loyal trusting loving & non judgmental,
always happy to see me or play with his toys, Elmo stuffed doll was his favorite,
then any type of ball especially tennis balls, when he saw the new containers/tubes,
he would spin circles in excitement/anticipation of getting a new green tennis ball...

Brings a smile to my face today still...

I see him in everything around the house, still cleaning up dog hair too...LOL

RIP Buddy

Wow, I CAN imagine how you feel. I reached out to a lot of people including the Klipsch speaker forum where I was very active when my best friend /son /brother Bud, my black Lab of 13 years passed. I would not have made it through those years of my life without him. I am sorry for your irreplaceable loss, what I did was focus on the good times we had, and today, 11 years later, I have one 13 you old Lab who was a year old when Bud passed, and 3 Lab mixes who are all wonderful, but there will never be another Bud, and I will never forget him.

I am SO sorry to hear about your loss. Brutus, my boxer is my right hand man, my 1st child...I can't imagine life without his slobbery mug in my world. Just remember all the joy and escape from day to day crap he provided you.

Thank you again for all the kind words, they do help...

I feel a little better now, talking about him helps some,
the initial pain/hurt is slowly passing,
but still miss my Buddy, some people will think/say "it's only a dog",
he was more than that too me...
Kind of my kid, since the kids are all grown up & gone, now it's so eerily quite in the house, especially when I'm alone...

I know it probably sound silly, or overly sentimental maybe, but I rub his name tag on his collar & say "I miss you Big Guy", that hangs on my wall in my bedroom every night, before going to bed, then in the morning when I go out...

My sister Lori a Vet, is trying to get me to get another dog right away,
says she has 3 candidates already...
But I think I want to wait a little while...
I'm sure I'll get another dog, probably a Lab again too,
I've now had a Yellow 'Barron',
then a Black 'Duke'
& a almost pure White puppy 'Dan the Man', she was a Dolphins fan
{from my sisters dog 'Duchessa'} my youngest girls dog really,
then a Chocolate 'Lord Budnicks'...
We had Labs when I was a kid too,
a Yellow 'Flash' & Black 'Lightning' my dads dogs...

There's nothing like a good Labrador Retriever...

sorry for the photo quality

Sorry to hear the news. My wife and I had to put our dog Ricky to sleep this past Thursday. He was 16 and a half and one helluva good boy but he got old and started to have a tough time walking. Hated to do it with all my heart and soul but I had to think of him and what he would want. So I know from first hand experience how hard and heart wrenching it can be. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

One of the toughest heart wrenching things to ever do...
I'm sure he was loved & a member of the family, just like my dear Buddy was too...
