I have a new emblem to install on the rear finish panel. Emblem needs to be rivit peened. Whats the best way to accomplish this. Is there a special tool for this? I was thinking I might be able to use a center punch and lightly tap it until it mushrooms.

By the looks of the holes in the center of the studs I would say your idea would be correct. BUT….I have never come across this personally

Your correct that it's supposed to be peened, I don't do it that way... I trim it down flush with the panel, then drill & tap the holes for machine screws... I use short truss head screws (the kind typically used to attach handles on drawers)
