On the rear shock upper mounting bolts for my '69 Charger - Are there supposed to be washers ?

The car was a basket case when I got it, lots of random hardware barely holding it together.

I bought the shock hardware kit for it, front and rear from Mega Parts.

There are no washers included for the upper mounting bolts.

I checked my factory service manual, and the only diagram I can find is for a Dart, studs for upper mounting points - not bolts.

Yes, I've googled... And Googled.

Hopefully someone here can give me a definitive answer, along with if these require washers, What kind?

Pictures?

Otherwise, I'll be out in my shed this afternoon, jacking up several of my "future project Chargers" and crawling under them hoping the spiders don't get me.

Only places washers are used is the lower rears over the stud * same washer OD, but different ID

And Ft uppers - *same washer top and bottom

HOWEVER, you may require spacers on either side of the shock in the crossmember spacers on either side of the shock in the crossmember. The sleeves in the bushings on replacement shocks may be too short to fill the space in the crossmember.

I'll check it out.
