Has anyone installed the KYB or equal mono tube type shocks in the front or rear of the car?

I'm in the minority here, but have kyb on all four corners and am happy with the performance.
Bilsteins are the preferred fbbo shock as you will soon learn.

Would you say they are a much better ride than a stock gas charged shock?
    Thank you

My car had Monroe shocks that the part number crossed to "fleet use". Receipt from the previous owner showed $9.99 per shock and $60 labor to install. In other words the car had cheap shocks and the kyb was a magnitude in improvement. Ride is firm, but I don't believe it is harsh.

I used to sell KYB among other brands and always thought the price vs. performance was good. I got my last set off Rock Auto. They had a spring special last year, I got all four Gas Adjust for a bit over $60.

The KYB's that came with my Satellite were very harsh, felt every crack in the road, with big radial street tires. Switched to Comp Eng 3 way drag shocks. Much smoother street ride. Handling seemed about the same, though cornering was not a priority with this car.
