Hello All,
Getting back to work on my 69 Bee and needing to know the height of trim clips vs. the window channel on the rear window.
The body guy filled the trim holes and painted it and while I found the location of where they go around the window via an old parts car, I completely forgot to check the depth vs. the body line.
I'm assuming they need to be lined up so that the top of the clip is flush with the body line so the trim fits tight?

Thanks for the help,
Cole

Nobody has one torn down enough to measure it? Sure the Plymouth's would be exactly the same.

I'm headed over to my body guy today so I'll let you know tonight. I'll have to measure before I talk to him because afterward I think he'll just want me to get the car out of his shop

Sorry Cole wasn't able to make it over there last week but definitely today or tomorrow. Well he doesn't have a paint booth and he is moving really slow on my car so I'm just gonna pull it and give to another guy that has a booth.

Thanks Eagle One,

I appreciate you checking it for me and can sympathize with your issue. Have had my 383 in the same machine shop for 2+ years now with very little progress. Go and check on it from time to time and only reason I'm not pestering the guy daily is limited storage in my garage.

I have my 68 Sport Satellite apart getting ready for paint. Measured the hole where the clip goes for the back glass trim. Its 1/4" up from the pinch weld and 1/2" down from body edge. The one I measured was highest clip on the right side. Hope this helps you.

Hey Tbone,
Welcome to the site! Learned a lot from these guys and hope you enjoy it.
I appreciate the info, want to verify you're talking about the whole itself and not the clip depth which looking at the set I have would put the depth of the top of the clip to the edge of the body line at right at 1/8"?

Thanks again and good luck on your project.
Cole

The measurements I gave are for the hole. I'll look tonight and check the distance from body to top of clip.

TBone,
Good deal, thanks a lot for the help and let me know if you think of anything you'd need. Hope you the best on your project!
