I need a few parts on my 1969 GTX fixed and rechromed. Trunk panel and both L and R tail light housings. They have pits and need to be drilled and filled. Not terrible. Anyone have a shop they recommend to do the work?
It may be more cost effective to buy new taillight bezels. You can get a pair which include lenses for about 700.00 which sounds like a lot but may be cheaper in the end. Thats what i did and the set i got was of excellent quality. Of course its not a Mopar original. The tail panel i would tell you that when i priced restoring mine it was the same as a restored one was being sold at. This was at Carlisle in 2014. I wound up buying one from Nacho for half the price in not perfect but very close to it condition
The few restored ones I have found on line (tailpanels) were over $2000. I don't mind paying for good work, just don't want to pay for bad work if I can avoid it. Who is Nacho and where do I inquire about replacement pieces?
I used Ogden Chrome and was very happy with them, I live near them so shipping didn't matter to me but just so you know they cover shipping. They did my bumpers and wing vent window frames. That potmetal is pricey to get rechromed.
