I am looking for a good timing set for my 512. I know Chris Birdsong gave the 440 source a less than great review. He didn’t have many miles on it and it had a lot of slop.

What have you guys used and had good results with?

If you can still find a Rollmaster chain they were pretty good quality. I haven't bought one in years though so I don't know if that has changed with the pandemic. Pro Gear also made a really nice unit. They have always been spot on and I've never had one arrive that wasn't ready to just bolt on. Nice and clean and well prepped.

i've always been a cloyes user without any problems. what you buy may depend a lot on usage and single bolt vs three bolt.
