But, as usual they only tell the sensational side of the story and vamp about climate change as the culprit....

From 1440:

Global Heat Records
The average temperature across the world reached its highest mark in more than four decades of recordkeeping Tuesday, with record temperatures observed in places ranging from Canada to Beijing.

The measurement is technically unofficial—the data were taken by the University of Maine's climate simulator, a platform that incorporates global satellite data and numerous computer simulations and is used by federal agencies in climate projections. Worldwide, measurements showed an average temperature of 62.9 degrees Fahrenheit, about 1.8 degrees above the 1979-2000 average (the analysis uses records dating back to 1979).

Scientists attribute the heat to a range of factors beyond climate change, including warmth in the North Atlantic Ocean and the formation of an El Niño weather pattern (see overview).

I heard on the radio, some blonde bimbo, said it was the warmest day ever! Not recorded, just ever. I suppose the dinosaur age would have been a lot warmer!

There's a HUGE difference from being environmentally conscious using prudent measures for conservation vs. mindless exaggeration to utilize as a political weapon. We're all for clean air, and a healthy planet... but when you bamboozle people with draconian horror tactics simply for political gain... smart minds can see through that guise. Which obviously excludes the usual suspects.

It depends on where you are. Big weather phenomena can change the weather from year to year. Because of El Nino, we have had the wettest summer since the 1880s. We'll have a high of 70 degrees again today and for the next few days. We've had 2 days over 80 the whole of 2023. I love it.

Yet it was in the upper 80's yesterday and today it's a beautiful 75 and low humidity.

We now get 3 months of summer instead of 2!
Welcome to the club June! :welcome:

temps fluctuate 20-30 degrees every day........but 1 degree on average will destroy all of man kind......morons

The Earth will endure. The fragile inhabitants on the surface not so much.

If it stayed at 1 I don't see a problem either.

It was 104 in the Houston area this past weekend......in 1894! So, what exactly caused those kinds of temps back then? Too much horse sheet on the streets!!

It gets hot here (5.7hemi remembers!) Perfectly normal to kiss 100 in late May with many June days over the 100 mark.
Anyway....our first 100 wasn't until last weekend, with most of June in the 80s. It was the typical 107-109 for a couple days now it's back to mid 90s....perfect summer!

Got some thunder storms in the area but so far it's missing me.....the temp fell though from 90 to 79 but the humidity is 83%. Still feels much better than all the 100 degree days.

  that damn methane!

Here is 4 minutes to educate yourself on the perspective of temperature. It is plainly stated, based on hard science from Greenlands Ice Cores. This is not biased, agenda pushing whatever, this is raw data put into a graph and explained in simple terms. In short, we started our experiment at the worst possible time ever and the agenda people have done so on purpose and ignore the rest of the data because it completely blows their statements out of the water.
For your enjoyment and enlightenment:

Must have been all those woodfire burning ovens! Or maybe all those buffalo out west? Good thing they killed all those! Think how hot it would be if they hadn't slaughtered 95% of the buffalo herd!

Thanks, as I had read some years ago about the fact that we were at the end of the last ice age, and the earth has been naturally warming. According to the enviro-whackos, we should've been burnt to a crisp by now.
