So I am trying to figure out the correct color orientation of the red white and blue monikers on say the 1970 GTX and Sport Satellite. This would include the grill emblem and the ones on the interior of the doors.

I looked at a bunch of what I thought were original cars but found a mixed bunch almost 50/50.

I believe that the right orientation is red left and blue right but haven’t found any definitive information.

Of course when I did mine I used two consecutive pictures of what I thought were original before digging deeper. They both were red right and blue left……. I don’t think this is correct even though this is what I used on the other door not pictured. I set these up having red forward pointing in the car.

Thoughts?

It is how you read a sentence, left to right R W B. Very simple.

Same as the sport satellite emblem on left side. they don't say satellite sport on the on the right side to keep the sport at the front, right?

Interesting comments. Does the factory service manual say anything about this? I sure as hell couldn’t find anything. But then again the service manual can be very difficult to find specific things.
