Redeye TRX finally!

I'm sorry, I just don't see the need for a 777 hp 7000 lb $100,000 truck.
I'd rather have a 4000 lb car with that power, (or, a 2500 lb car with 600 hp) and a real truck that can do work.
Gonna tow a trailer with that TRX? (Yes I know, you probably can.... but would you?)

Much like my 2005 Powewagon I think that if you’re wanting a factory designed monster truck that is better off-road in desert and sand than a Ford Raptor and can still drive around in traffic and on the freeway you buy a TRX. I wanted a lifted truck with lockers and a winch but I didn’t want to compromise ride quality and handling on the freeway. The Powerwagon can do everything I need and more (granted it can actually tow and haul) and I think to build the equivalent of a TRX from a new truck would probably be comparable in cost. It doesn’t seem practical or needed but it’s the baddest in its class and I love that Dodge builds this stuff!

The "need" ??

01 face 8.jpg

Who cares about "need" ? Do any of us need a classic car ? Do any of us need a race car?
No, we don't. Our lives would go on if none of us had one.
If someone wants something and a manufacturer can make a buck selling it, it ignored a need and addresses a want.
I don't need to have 10 cars but I want to have them. If I can afford that many and have the room, I'm going to have them.

Oh, I can definitely understand that somebody might WANT one. It just wouldn't be my choice. I would WANT that engine in a car!

Plenty of fools will line up to buy it.
I want one
I don't mind a crew cab 4 dr w/777hp
IMO an extended cab would be better,
but a 4wd w/18" suspension travel, for the roads, killer shocks & internals/diffs
that could give my muscle car a run for it's money, & my car it's 2k#s + lighter
(when I was looking for my New 1999 Dakota Ext. Cab SLT 4wd w/Magnum,
I wanted a 4dr Dakota 4wd, not everyone is the same, very hard to find back then
)
the TRX w/35" tires, custom wheels, air lockers/disconnecting sway bars also front & rear,
divorced transfer case, 8 speed trans, great leather interior, seating for 5+
or for my dog in the back seat
w/great sound system & NAV, also a full 100k mile limited warranty :blah:

but;
I will never spend $100k for one
let alone $79k ++ for a stripped-down version

IMHFO a single cab truck today
'are just so Pasay', (if it's not a late 60's early 70's 4wd truck)

IMHFO so is the long bed
if you don't need or have to have/use it for work or something,
or for hauling/towing all the time,
they "are just Pasay" too, things of the past
& unless it's 3/4 tone/2500 or 1 tone/3500 Dually, TOW RIGs

I need at a min an extra cab, just for leg room alone,
my 6'5" bed on my midsize 1999 Dakota SLT Ext. Cab 4wd
park it anywhere (even in compact spots) or drive it anywhere,
has a great turning radius, most will never know, has served me very well...
& it fits in my lil' 20'x20' attached garage
