.....wiener for punting Alex Tagliani out of the way on the last corner of the last lap of the Xfinity race at Mid Ohio on Saturday. NASCAR does nothing!! I have zero respect for those antics. He even admitted that he would not be denied the win. Fyi, road course rules do not allow the pass unless the overtaking driver has an opening to the corner.
I suppose if I'm running a marathon, I can club the runner in front of me to win the race. Seems totally justifiable, right?

Jeff Gordon & Earnhardt both made a living out of similar moves. Last time I went to a NASCAR race was Sears Point in 1991. Ricky Rudd pulled same move on Davy Allison. They black flagged Rudd then, but nobody else since then. NASCAR has turned into the WWF.

Pretty much most all the great names dumped {pushed out of the way} people in the corners
or anywhere for that fact, just to win !!

IMO seemingly unless your a media star, big name front runner,
that gets dumped/wrecked,
than it doesn't matter to the NASCAR officials...

there should be some kind of rule,
instead of just more wrecking & retaliation, like there certainly will be...

Dale Earnhardt & Darrel Waltrip were the worst

the Daytona 500 race in 1979 IIRC, that altercation put NASCAR on the map,
after a altercation on the final lap, #1 & #2 running idiots fights slams & dumps each other
& Petty goes on to win after running third...

IMO one of the worst thing NASCAR hierarchy ever said was "have at it boys",
they are at 100% fault, there were a bunch of really bad wrecks right after that,
Carl Edwards & Brad Kesolowski, Kurt "Checkers or Wreckers" Busch or Jeff Gordon
all wrecked a bunch of cars in the following weeks,
until a car almost went into the stands/spectators, "then they toned it down a little"...
They don't say anything about media darling Hendricks Racing's boys Jimmy Johnson,
constantly dumping people every chance he got either, in route to all his championships...

all a bunch of hypocrites if you ask me

The put them in the wall BS, rubbin' is racing mentality, cheat at all costs...

Looked to me like Alex went into that turn a bit deep and Egads was planning on dong the same and would get into him no matter what. If you watch the replays, you can see Alex was already wide before Egads got into him but yeah, Egads was planning on dumping him one way or the other but imo, driving like that keeps us interested in what's going to happen next lol. Will Alex dump him first chance he gets? Hope so and maybe it'll be for the win in the next race. Isn't Bristol coming up soon? Could be pretty interesting. Look at what Kyle Busch used to do several years back. Seems like not that many were shouting at him for it. Was it because he was also winning everything in sight? But I'm glad to see he finally settled down a bit as he could be pretty mean. If someone rubbed on him, he usually tried to stick them into the wall and I was watching a truck race where he did just that and took himself out at the same time.....under caution no less all the while his crew chief was yelling at him to don't do it.

The old adage that nice guys finish last is true. As much as I liked Mark Martin, he never won a championship. He was always a bridesmaid. NASCAR has raced like this long before the officials said 'have at it boys' so if you like to see 'gentlemen' type racing, maybe you should go watch something else. NASCAR has never been PC so why should it start now? If you ask me, it has already become too PC to my liking. :D

Race cars should not have mirrors, either. Blocking leads to dumping, imho. Don't know if that was the case here or not. Didn't watch race, only saw pass by regan smith.

Senna to Stewart when asked about rough driving Prost...

Jackie Stewart: Okay, let me ask you another difficult question: If I were to count back all the world champions, the number of times that they had made contact with other drivers, that you in the last 36 months or 48 months, have been in contact with more other cars and drivers than they might have done in total.
Ayrton Senna: I find (it) amazing for you to make such a question Stewart, because you are very expirienced-
Jackie Stewart: Hmm...Very.
Ayrton Senna: ...And you know a lot about racing. And you should know that by being a racing driver, you are under risks all the time. By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver, because we are competing. We are competing to win, and the main motivation to all of us is to compete for victory; it's not to come 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th.
