Hello !!!! Does anyone know if the regulators from the 1970's that are stated to be rated at 100 amps are needed and/or better than the standard regulators ? I converted to a 95 amp alt unit and seem to be having issues with the regulator loosing voltage as the temp goes up in the engine compartment. If you go to Advance Auto's web site and seach some of the larger 1977 or so cars , a 100 amp regulator is offered, usually at a premium price. Wondering if the higher amp alt could benefit from one of these 100 amp pieces. Thanks to all !!!

I have had this posted over on the A body site with no response. Anybody ??

Here is the part I am refering to, its listed for a 1975 Roadrunner

Part No.
VR125 Standard Motor Products Voltage Regulator
Voltage Regulator: Rwd, Except 86, 100 Amp, Except Leece Neville Equipped
Warranty: Limited 1 Year*

i would be more worried about the stock wiring handing 100 amps.
