Remove or not remove

I’m install this master brake cylinder. Because I need a smaller bore in order to work with the Willwood brakes. This master brake cylinder has a retaining clip. Do I remove the retaining clip or keep it?

It also doesn’t look seated all the way. Make sure the circlip is fully seated in the groove

Do you have power brakes or manual brakes?

The clip looks seated to me because the ends are the right distance apart.

What is the bore size? You do not want to remove the snap ring.
