Removing Stuck Pistons

Try a 50/50 mixture of trans fluid and Acetone it works better than most penetrating oils! P/B Blaster is next to it!

Coca-Cola. Works. Takes time but it works. Pour it in and let it sit. Buddy of mine had a siezed 396 and it took about a month, but everything came apart with no damage other than from the rust.

Get you a 55 gal drum, put in a mixture of feed molasses and water mixed 20:1 water to molasses. Put the whole block in the drum. Wait 2-3 weeks, remove rust free engine.

Been there, done that. Take a sharp air chisel and bust up the piston. It's not that hard. Just be careful. Makes quick work of it.

If the engine is really stuck, this is a quick way to get them out. We used a n arc welder, turned up to where it would melt aluminum. Melt two cuts down the sides of the piston. That will collapse the piston and practically fall out.............................MO
