Repo 70 Roadrunner Grill Quality

I am thinking of buying a repo 1970 Roadrunner grill asby and painting it the correct color for my 1970 Satellite Conv project. My car is too nice to put on one with defects. Has anyone done a comparison of the repo part and an original ? Can one easily tell if the part is repo?
