I would like to repaint the Red/White/Blue accents on the fender trim on a '64 Sport Fury.
Has anyone had experience with this process? Looking for recommendations for both paint brand/type as well as process you have had experience with.

Perhaps that could be done with vinyl graphics? I had to replace the "engine turning pattern on the trim for my 65 Belvedere II so, I used Chrysler "Argent" trim paint. It looks fine but, at the time I did not even think "graphics". They can make almost anything.

I did the center of my Polara side trim in vinyl. Very happy with it long term.

My memories of my 64 Sport Fury are over 55 years ago now but if I remember right those are small detail areas. For something small like the red, white and blue accents on the moldings I would probably use bottled model paint like Testors and a couple small brushes. If you decide instead to mask and spray them, I would use 1/16” and 1/8” pinstriping vinyl masking tape and fog the areas first with a coat of self etching primer to increase the paints adhesion to the aluminum. That will usually give you cleaner and sharper edges when you remove the masking tape.
