Hello, I am missing one of these covers for the rear window on my 1973 Charger SE. Any one know if they are avalible as a new part somewhere ?

I removed the vinyl top, so i guess it whould look a lot better whith some other typ of rear window, say from a different year charger. But i guess thats a lot of work ?

They made/sold maore Chargers in 73 than any other year.

I see these parts on ebay from time to time, and every once in a while see a 73 car in a salvage yard.

Be patient and they will turn up.

FYI, the part you are talking about is designed to clear the thickness of the vinyl, and IMO, looks a bit odd without the vinyl in place.

With that being said, I have seen some cars that looked pretty good with the vinyl removed.

If you leave off the louvers, the window shape IMO, resembles an Austrailian Charger.

I plan to put mine back on, even though the studs have been ground off.
I just like the curve of the half top. Reminds me of the Roadrunner stripe of the same years.

Where in FL are you located? I would love to find a '73 in a junk yard.

It was at Big 3 in Clearwater. It's gone now.

I got what I could of the quarters, the pass door, and a bent hood to fix my frame rusted bulge hood.

Last year there was one at Budget in Lakeland. It's gone too.

There's one (actually two- one 73-74 and one 71-72) at Gilespie's in Brandon. Also a cop c body with factory high back buckets.

for your information
in my opinion

Thanks !

So.. No new parts as it apears,
Its kind of a hazzel bying junk parts from the other side of the atlantic ocean,

what is the correct english word for these covers ?

Are there any other trix to make the SE look nice whit the vinyl off ?

What side do you need,driver,passenger?

the proper term is opera windows ;) for the 73-74 drivers/pass side window louvers

There is a set on EBay right now... though they are pricey
