One thing is foremost in the minds of most news vendors. --- Viewers equal money.

A slow day in news means fewer will tune in to see what's up.
The left-leaning news sellers/makers have placed themselves in a box with their fabricating news as needed. The up side for them is many (like me) tune in just to see the crap of the day and watch them make fools of themselves.
They are clowns that don't know it. But the money comes in so they keep going.
