Why go to B-J and get drunken stupid, THEN bid crazy money for a car when you can go straight to this guy and pay crazy money while sober?

I had to chuckle a bit at the 67 GTS convertible for $99k. When I was going to school in Virginia Beach in 1985, my roommate had a 1982 Firebird. We found one of those five GTS convertibles at a little We Finance Anyone lots on Virgina Beach Blvd. My roomie liked that GTS and the lot owner offered to trade him the GTS plus a VSP Monaco with a 440 for his Firebird and he passed.

That Firebird is worth about 32 cents today,. :)

It's funny how much things change. It's always in cycles, so people can make money. I might sell my WO car, and buy another hemi road runner to drive around. I won't be making any money at this point...but I did for 40 years of this hobby, and now I wanna buy cars I've always wanted. God knows, how many cool/rare mopars I've had and sold...but always wanted certain cars which never went thru my hands. I'm winding down with all my stuff, and want to enjoy cars for a change...not be constantly working on them.

When i think about what that car (yours) sold for (yes i was nosy and looked, sorry) the rarity of the car and the level of restoration,it was a bargain in todays world. I fully agree and understand about wanting to enjoy the car now. Im at that very stage now. All i know is i bought my car at a great price, the next day after it was in my driveway i and a offer of two grand over what i paid for it. If i parted it,i could have at least doubled my money
I decided to restore and now am into it for at least 25 and depending if i farm out any of the work I'm looking at least at another 10 for a car id be lucky to get in the very low twenty's for when done

Not bad at all............

My buddy who I have not seen in 10 years got bit by the Mopar bug when I stopped by in my road runner a couple weeks ago.He had a 69 dart 340 back in the day and now he wants a 383 Dart so he drove from Maryland all the way down to RK Motors to check out a 67 GTS, I looked at the pics on the web site and told hi it looked perfect by the pics but when he saw it in person the pics were obivously photo shopped, the mirror paint on the hood showed deep grinder marks.the trim on the fenders was loose and hanging off.pans under the car to catch the tranny leaks/$32,000.00 was the firm price and for $1,900.00 they said they would fix all that was wrong..they would not budge on the price.pics look good on the web but can be altered so drive 12 hours and be dissapointed.

When I dropped my car off, there was a 19 383 B5 blue Dart with a white interior that was absolutely stunning. Looks like it's sold now.

Hey RC. I am only an hour from RK can I borrow your Charger for the July 4th weekend?

It's amazing, the response I'm getting to my RK sold car. It looks like I took a home-run swing....and hit a grand slam. I had to drive thru admiring people to get out of our local show last night. If I added up the hours I've wasted to look at misrepresented cars over the last 40+ years...I'm sure it would be frightening. Of course, the current ride has real history, and I didn't bother to look at it before hand. Still giddy.

rk is the biggest shyster/fraudsters in the hobby! lol
one of the owners was just getting sentenced to jail for credit fraud.
don't be so sure of any purchase there!
there is a rotten stench attached to anything they sell..
heres one
this car was originally gold!

tell us more flypaper

if that car was gold, why didnt they restore it to gold?
surely would have brought Way more than a sassy green car??
does the tag call for gold?

and that article just shows that one of the owners was a crook.
doesnt show the company or the other partner as a crook.....?

But the other owner is willingly partnering with a crook. Not good!

Carroll, 50, moved to Charlotte from Ohio around 2010 when his company, Best of Show Automotive, merged with RK Motors, according to Kauffman. The charges against Carroll had no connection to RK Motors.

The former president of a Charlotte-based classic car dealership was sentenced last week to five years’ probation on federal mail fraud and identity theft charges, according to court documents filed in federal court in Cincinnati.

For more than 22 years, Joseph M. Carroll used an Ohio man’s Social Security number to take out more than 20 loans and lines of credit, prosecutors have said in court documents. The government had recommended a 41-month prison sentence, while Carroll’s attorney had asked for five years of supervised release.

so this guy rips everyone off for 22 years and gets 5 years probation....
yeah that sounds like Justice....

moparts......HAHAHAHAHAHA

When talking with missile I've learned that he has extensive experience in the classic car hobby. He obviously knew his Mopar was a exceptional car at a reasonable price. Being a informed consumer he would be able to spot a problem or a potential swindle. A guy like me could get screwed by any of these classic car brokers. When i hit lotto I'm going to ask him or RC to accompany me when i look for one of these cars at these establishments. Hey i can dream LOL

Thank you, but 40+ years of this hasn't always been fun. Educational....yes, but not always fun. I'm sure all dealers have their bad eggs and some shady deals, but it's up to the consumer to educate themselves to the level they're comfortable with to play at those different levels. I've never had a "perfect" car...nor do I now. I know I couldn't have purchased or built a better car than I just did, for the cash outlay. Is it a "gold" judged car...no. Is it a more fun car I can drive...absolutely, and at about 2/3 the cost of a strictly "show-poodle" with ink blots and chalk marks. Educate yourselves, and hang with different types of people in the hobby....they all have valuable info.
